HOUR OF CODE @PATRICIAN HIGH SCHOOL
An enormous thank you to all, for the second year Patrician High School has taken part in the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a global event with millions of people taking part. It is organised by a non-profit organisation to promote and encourage people to get coding, to introduce and throw light on the area of Computer Science.
Hour of Code in the High School has been a tremendous success with all First Years participating.
Also during this week fifth year student Jonathan White was highly successful in reaching the final Google’s Call to Code competition in Dublin.
This is an initiative endorsed by the Minister Jan O’Sullivan who spoke to all he finalists on the day congratulating them on their accomplishments in the world of coding.
There is a growing and essential necessity for the ability to code and programme. Going forward we at the High School acknowledge and recognise the need for these vital fundamental life skills to be a part of the school curriculum.
We look forward to Hour of Code
