The Patrician High School held their first field day on Saturday 10th May in the Carrick Aces Athletic grounds. On the day there was entertainment for the whole family: Inflatable Assault Course; Facing Painting; Children's Races; Music & BBQ.
With only a few rain showers during the day and the crowds were excellent. Great to see some past students and parents from past students down to show some support.

The events on the day consisted of a GAA tournament in memory of Mr. David McBride which, 8 teams turned up and saw some past students lining out to play in the 7 a-side tournament. Also a current staff team took part and the present 6th Years put in a team.
The final saw contested by no other then the Staff team against the current 6th years. The final was hard fought and the winners were the teachers.

This will be an annual event and can only get bigger. Patrician High School principal Mr. J. Duffy thanked all the Staff for their help especially Miss. C. Tyrell for organising the event. Mr. Duffy also thanked the Parents Association, Board of Management and students for their participation in the even and their help on the day.

Miss Tyrell would like to thank Carrick Aces for the use of their facilities and The Festival Committe for the use of equipment.
